Overview:

The EM-M10003-GPI is E/M Wave, Inc's new 1/2 Wave Ground Independent, Wide Band Antenna (GPI). This antenna has Stainless Steel Springs for enhanced durability and mechanical flexibility and is specifically designed for optimal ?wide band? VSWR performance and specifically designed for applications where a ground plane is not available such as fiberglass or other non-conductive mounting surfaces. Typical applications would be fiberglass roof top installation found on commercial buses and trucks with non-metallic cabs or extended rear-view mirror brackets found on most trucks and commercial/industrial vehicles.

Typically, a VSWR performance of 1.5:1 is achieved for the GPI installation. Additionally, the antenna will also provide wide band performance when mounted to metallic ground planes with a VSWR <2:1.
